Payment Policy

Template — not yet legal advice. This document accurately describes how Pleasure Compared works, but it has not been reviewed by a solicitor. Have it checked before you go live.
If you are a shopper
You never pay Pleasure Compared anything. We do not sell products, take card details, hold a basket or process an order. When you click through to a retailer you are on their site, paying them, under their terms.
That means every question about a payment — a refund, a failed transaction, a card charged twice, a chargeback — is one for the retailer you bought from. We have no record of your order and no ability to refund it, because the money never came to us.
We may earn a commission from the retailer when you click through. It comes out of their margin. It never costs you more, and it never affects where a product ranks — retailers cannot pay for placement. See our terms.
If you are a retailer or a brand
What you pay
Whatever your package says, at the price shown when you signed up. Packages are listed in your dashboard, and the price and terms of the one you are on are always visible there.
Some packages carry a cost per click — a charge each time a shopper clicks through from us to your site. Where that rate is zero, you pay nothing per click. The rate that applies to any click is the rate that was in force at the moment of the click: if we change it, the change applies from then on and never to clicks already taken.
When you pay
- Subscriptions are charged in advance for the period stated on the package — monthly or annual.
- Every charge produces an invoice in your dashboard, including VAT at the prevailing UK rate.
- Click charges, where they apply, are billed in arrears against the click record in your dashboard.
How you pay
By card, through Stripe. Your card details never touch our servers — Stripe handles them, and we hold nothing more than the fact a payment succeeded.
If a payment fails
We retry it, and tell you. Your listing keeps running through a grace period while we do — we would rather chase a card than pull a shop's prices over a bank glitch. If it is still unpaid after the retries and the grace period, the account is suspended and your prices stop appearing until it is settled. Nothing is deleted; your products and settings are waiting when you come back.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from your dashboard. You keep what you have paid for until the end of the period you have already been charged for; we do not refund part-periods. After that your prices stop appearing.
Refunds
We will refund a charge that was our mistake — billed on the wrong package, charged after a cancellation, charged twice. Ask us and we will sort it. We do not refund a period you have used.
Prices on this site
Every price we show came from a retailer's own feed and is the price when we last saw it. Prices move constantly. We show when we last checked, but the retailer's own page is always the truth — check it before you buy. A price here is not an offer, and we cannot make a retailer honour one.
